Super Falcon striker to be honoured in Owerri
Super Falcons forward Desire Oparanozie will be honoured in Owerri in a 2017 DNC Unity Cup which will be played in great respect of the talented footballer.
Oparanozie confirmed the news himself in a recent video and she is expected to be in the country before the tournament kicks off.
The tournament which kicks off on Sunday the 17th of December - Saturday, December 30th will be played at the Central School Field Eziama Obiato by Ukwu Orji bus stop, along Owerri Onitsha expressway, Imo State.
Oparanozie currently plays in the female division 1 for Guingamp in France. She won the African women Championship three times, in 2010, 2014 and 2016. Her 84th-minute strike gifted Nigeria their 2014 African Women's' Championship trophy that ended in a 1-0 scoreline against Cameroon in favour of the Super Falcons.
