OGUN STATE COURT REFUSES BAIL FOR PORTABLE,ORDERS REMAND OVER ASSAULT AND CAR THEFT CHARGES

 

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable , was on Monday, January 12, 2026, arraigned at the Federal High Court in Ota over multiple criminal allegations, including assault, theft, and resisting arrest.

The nine-count charge followed a complaint by his estranged partner, Ashabi Simple.

According to Ogun State Police spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the singer is accused of assaulting Ashabi and several other individuals at his bar in Iyana Ilogbo on New Year’s Day.

Nine-count charges include assault, theft, and obstruction of police duties

Portable is also alleged to have attacked a female police inspector, Ogungbe Olayemi, while she was performing her official duties.

The case also names Ileyemi Damilola as a victim, alleging that Portable stole her Mercedes-Benz E300, valued at ₦12 million and purchased from Wally Dex Auto.
